"Aren't I supposed to be quiet about this fasting thing?"

So we're asking people to pray & fast with us.  This might seem odd, because doesn't the Bible teach that we're supposed to be quiet about such things?  Isn't this supposed to be a private thing?

It begins

Today Jeannette &  I are starting four weeks of prayer & fasting.  We're praying specifically for God's guidance, wisdom, and provision.  We're very excited and have high anticipating for this time.

Prayer & Fasting starts tomorrow!

Tomorrow Jeannette & I will begin 4 weeks of together praying and doing a Daniel fast, specifically asking God for his guidance, wisdom, and provision as we think about our future ministry.

The last couple months has been a whirlwind for the Moss family. Starting in February with time in Flordia as a family and then Logos training in Washington for Bobby; from then until now it seems like we’ve been going non stop.

But we are going to be intentionally putting on the brakes in some ways over the next few weeks. Jeannette & I are going to be taking the next four weeks to pray and fast about the future. We’ve obviously been praying about it for awhile, but I’ve really felt burdened these last couple weeks to take a special season and do this.

A New Direction

Really appreciate the comments I've received from my last blog post.  It seems I'm not the only one who has experienced a season like that.  Hearing others feedback has clarified for me a community reality: it's important to be honest and open about such things.  I never want to be the leader who puts on the "I have it all together" facade. 

A confessional prayer

March was a low month for me.  I don't want to go as far as to say it was a "dark" month - but it was definitely a time of soul searching and soul trembling.
