A few days ago Jeannette asked what I wanted to do for Father's Day. There wasn't a specific activity, but there were specific parameters:
- I don't want to do any work.
- I don't want to drive anywhere far
- I don't want to have to deal with Chicago traffic.
So we went to church, went to lunch, came home, and I got to take a 2 hour nap. Best. Day. Ever.
This morning before church Baylee realized it was Father's Day and insisted I open my gift right then. She was not going to wait till after church. So the gift bag came out of the closet and inside I found...
Yes, I finally have my very own gnome. I've always joked with Jeannette then we got our own place that I was going to get a big gnome for the front yard. Guardian of Casa Moss. We have our own condo now - so this is our city gnome. My fam rocks!
Now we're heading out to take the kids for a walk and get ice cream, a great end to a great day.
Happy Father's day to...
- ...my dad, Roy.
- ...my step-dad, Tom.
- ...my grandfather, Papa.
- ...any my father-in-law, Jim.
- ...my brother-in-law, Vince
- ...my step-brother, Tommy
- ...my uncle, Mark
And most importantly, thanks and my love for these kids who call me daddy, something that NEVER gets old:

Sounds like it was a great day. I gotta get one of those gnomes.
